Mission District
The Mission District, traditionally known for its versatile assortment of housing and architecture, also has a very active nightlife. There are a variety of bars and nightclubs to suit your interests. Elixir, the second oldest "neighborhood saloon" has been around since 1907. Located on the corner of 16th and Guerrero, this western-themed bar is truly a classic. It combines a bona fide feel of the Old West with a modern-day pub. On specific nights there are different themes including: Monday night darts, Tuesday night trivia and ladies night on Thursday. Be certain to try some of their World Class Cocktails including "the Elixir" (a mix of Baileys Irish Cream and Amaretto). The relaxed and friendly atmosphere makes a great night out. |
